Claudia Maldonado is the Founder and CEO at Atrevida Science and holds a degree in Industrial Engineering. She has worked in manufacturing and quality and led business startups throughout her 30-year career with organizations such as Westinghouse and National Instruments.

Dr. Ashok Das is the Technical Director and brings decades of experience in clean technologies including the development of state-of-the-art
technology interventions, as well as developing cyber-physical-social models for
impact assessment, intervention planning and policy decisions.

Dr. John Hall is the Science Advisor and a Professor at the State University of New York - University at Buffalo (UB). Dr. Hall has worked extensively for over 12 years on wind energy technology which has also been the focus of his research group at UB. He has over 20 years of industrial experience and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

Ed Tierney is the Lead Advisor and a Systems Engineer and High Reliability Manufacturing
Executive. He provides expertise in connecting long-term strategic vision to tactical execution. His international technical and business experience in developing strategic relationships leverages “lesson learned” from European offshore wind O&M experience.

David Atwood is the Industry Advisor with Vineyard Wind and formerly Head of Integrated Management Systems & Governance for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. He provides expertise in offshore windpower with a deep understanding of the quality, R&D, sales, procurement, production, warehouse, logistics, and service functions.

Our NYSERDA Clean Energy Interns

James Roetzer is a Modeling/Simulation for Blade Design Intern. He has dual BS degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. He is in his 2nd year of the Masters program for Aerospace at the University at Buffalo.

Cam Hotto is a Marketing Intern. He graduates in 2022 with a BS in Business Administration (concentrations: finance, operations, entrepreneurship). Cam is also a Western New York Prosperity Fellow at the Unversity at Buffalo.

Kyan Sadeghilari is a Modeling/Simuation for Loads and Blade Design Intern. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering (minor: mathematics) and a MS in Mechanical Engineering (concentration: fluids and thermal sciences).
